Last weekend

I know I'm about a week too late, but I have been so busy that I didn't get a chance to tell you guys about my weekend. Well, for starters I got home Friday night and realized my air condition was not properly functioning. And it had to be about 80 degrees outside which made it like 90 degrees in my 2nd floor apartment. But it wasn't that bad b/c by the time I got off work at the Gap it was cooled down. Saturday morning I woke up and realized that I still hadn't gotten my shoes for Aja's wedding on Sunday. Kiya called me up (our usual early Saturday morning phonecall) and asked me did I want to go to her niece's 13th bday party in VA. So I got up and got myself together and made my way ALL THE WAY down to Oxon Hill to meet her. It was kinda warm outside and I knew it was a cookout, so I just wore a tshirt and some jeans with sandals. I get to Kiya's house and AS USUAL, she's not even ready. Even though it took me 900 years to get to her house AND I told her when I was leaving my house. That always happens. So I get to her house and she's still in the shower. I'm watching tv waiting on her and by the time she gets ready, we still have to wait on her friend thats meeting us. An hour later and we're still at her house. Funny thing though...like I said, I was dressed for a light cookout, but Kiya was dressed like she was about to hit the BBQ Red Carpet event somewhere. Complete with little see-thru shirt, extremely high espedrills (sp) and her big Mary J Blige glasses (you know the ones that take over your whole face). I'm looking at her, looking at me, looking at her, looking at me. "Damn, am I underdressed or something?" But thats nothing new for Kiya. She never walks out the house without re-curling her hair and looking like she's on the MD red carpet and the paparazzi are out.

So by the time her friend V gets there we left. We get to the cookout and we're just hanging around. We eat, we talk, we leave. From there we were supposed to go to Arundel Mills to find me some shoes for Sunday. She has to pick up her "boo" b/c he's going to the mall with us, so I told her I would go home and we would meet up there. Got a txt from Dom about going to the movies later. So I told him to pick me up and we would meet Kiya and them there, look for my shoes, and then go dinner and movies from there. Well, when I told Kiya she said she wasn't waiting for me anymore (biotch) and so I just went up there with Dom. We went to looked for shoes, went to dinner, and then saw the movie. It was pretty decent, considering I haven't seen Part 2 and can't remember when I saw Part 1. Then we got back to my house at like 2am and it was blazing in there. I swear when we woke up the next morning we were in a pool of sweat.

I called the maintenance people to come out and fix it Sunday morning. After Dom left I went and got a mani/pedi and waited for my friend Tarrance to arrive (my date for the wedding). I got dressed (and that was pretty hard considering it was now 100 degrees in my apt) and we headed out the door to DC. Her wedding was BEAUTIFUL. She looked so pretty. And he looked handsome. Reception was so much fun. I'll post pics whenever I get the damn card reader. I saw some old friends that I haven't seen since graduation. Everyone looked so nice. And I was just glad her wedding was inside b/c it was too hot for an outside wedding. And all my friends know, I don't do heat!!

So the guy finally came Monday morning and he didn't fix a damn thing. Long story short about the AC, it didn't get fixed until yesterday. And this is after I bombed someone in the leasing office out. I also quit my job at the Gap on Monday b/c they were getting on my nerves. How dare they schedule me to work on Memorial Day. So all those looking for a hook up...sorry.

Okay...I'm tired of typing so I'll fill you in on Monday about this weeks festivities.

PS. One week left until GirlX ties the knot. And I can't wait to be there.
